Wanted: Hat Model

OK, finally a couple of new photos. This is one of the hats I finished a while ago. The pattern I used is a super easy, fast rolled brim hat. The yarn is Bernat Softee Chunky that was $2.69. A hat for under $3.00, YAY! The model works cheap and doesn't mind look silly. I made the hat for myself to wear camping in the mountains....then we never made it camping this year. Maybe I'll make it to the snow.

We'll see what Kirby is in the mood to model next. :)

Out and about

I looked back at the photo in the post on Tuesday and it's really awful. It's really over Photoshopped. :(
One thing I'm finding out is that colors that look right in Photoshop don't necessarily look the same online.
No furry critters today, so it's just a rusty spring clip.

This was shot at 1/200, 6.3, ISO400, 135mm

Dog Tales

When all else fails the animals are always willing subjects for a novice photographer.

Newly cast on sweater

I've finally cast on the Snuggly Baby Bamboo sweater for Lila Jo. I'm loving the Sirdar Baby Bamboo yarn. It is so soft and works up well. Since I have so many projects in the works right now, I don't know how long it will take me to finish it....we'll see.

The photo was shot at 1/13, 5.6, 800 ISO, 135mm

Maybe I'll get more shots of some of my finished objects in the next few days.

Going to the dogs

Getting back into photography is one of my current goals. Therefore, Kirby the dog, became my first subject....'cuz he was there.

This photo is SOOC. I shot it at 1/320, 5.6, 400 ISO, with my 28-135 lens at 38mm.

This is the photo after I adjusted it with color boost and a B&W conversion using Channel Mixer.

I have a lot to brush up on; both my photography skills and my photoshop skills. My goal is to do at least one photo a day.
